Victor Wembanyama has been outstanding in the past few days, and his performances on the court for the San Antonio Spurs consequently led to his NBA Western Conference Player of the Week Award.
In two winning encounters from this week against the Atlanta Hawks and the Portland Trail Blazers, the 20-year-old French center has been averaging 36.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.0 blocks (!) per game. In December, he posted 27.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 4.3 blocks per encounter.
Moving to the other side of the United States, Cade Cunningham was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week, helping Detroit get a 2-1 record with 27.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 12.7 assists per game.
