City Crush Brighton 4-0: Title Chase Heats Up

Brighton vs Man City: A Masterclass in Momentum

What a spectacle at the Amex Stadium last night! Manchester City showed no signs of slowing down, trouncing Brighton 4-0. It’s clear they’ve got their eyes set on yet another title.

Kevin De Bruyne kicked things off with a stunning header 17 minutes in—his first in the Premier League. Then Phil Foden turned up the heat with two goals before half-time, his touch as sharp as ever. Julian Alvarez rounded out the scoring after the break, finding the net for the first time since January.

City’s drive is something else. Despite missing Erling Haaland, they moved like a well-oiled machine, now just a whisker away from the top spot and with a game still in hand.

Oh, and about Brighton? Tough break. They started strong—Danny Welbeck even forced a save from Ederson early on. But after City found their rhythm, Brighton’s confidence seemed to crumble, especially when rookie Valentin Barco slipped up, leading to City’s third goal.

Even with VAR and a tight referee, Brighton couldn’t catch a break. Their 100th Premier League defeat had to come against City, the same team that handed them their first. Talk about coming full circle.

Next up, City faces Nottingham Forest while Arsenal takes on Tottenham. It’s all heating up at just the right time.
