Juventus are back and playing Champions League soccer on Tuesday after the Italian giants were banned for one season from all UEFA competitions, and they will face PSV at Allianz Stadium. The Bianconeri started off the 2024-25 season with two wins and two draws under new coach Thiago Motta and still haven’t conceded a goal so far. The league phase of the new Champions League format begins on Tuesday. There are now 36 sides, up from 24, and all play eight games before the phase ends in January. The top eight are guaranteed a spot in the knockouts. while the 16 following them will play a home and away playoff to establish who makes the final 16. Team news
Juventus: After making some changes over the weekend against Empoli, Thiago Motta is expected to start with former Atalanta Teun Koopmeiners to play alongside Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz in the attacking line. Former AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu is also likely to start as right back, while Federico Gatti and Bremer will lead the four-man defense.
Possible Juventus XI: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Gatti, Bremer, Cabal; Locatelli, Fagioli; Cambiaso, Koopmeiners, Yildiz; Vlahovic.
PSV: Peter Bosz’s side are impressing so far this season, after the Dutch side won the first five games of the season. Luuk de Jong will lead the attack, while Malik Tillman and Johan Bakayoko will play on the wings, as former Napoli winger Hirving Lozano was not called up in the squad due to an injury.
Possible PSV XI: Benitez; Ledezma, Flamingo, Boscagli, Dams; Til, Schouten, Veerman; Bakayoko, De Jong, Tillman.

The Bianconeri are expected to get a win against PSV on Tuesday, but the Dutch side shouldn’t be underestimated as they won the first five games of the season in the league. Pick: Juventus 2, PSV 1.
