Back on her bullshit for a LIMITED TIME ONLY… you can’t send a lululemon fangirl (reformed or still full-blown addicted) to Vancouver and not expect at least a casual stroll up Robson Street. Work landed me in Vancouver over the weekend to cover a Canucks game for the first time, so it was a quick 48h stint.
Still managed to fit in 2 things that would make 2018 Katy beam with joy… a run along the Seawall (RIP SeaWheeze) and a trip to lululemon, because exchange rate. Also, jalapeño margs and Cactus Club Avocado Dip.
So let’s just ignore the fact that…
- I haven’t posted this type of content in *checks archives* TWO YEARS
- About 6 people will read it
- Another 6 will forget they’re following this blog and unsubscribe because I’m old and irrelevant
Time to post some photos and ramble into the void for fun. That’s how this whole blog started anyway. Full circle moment.
Even though I’m pushing 40, I still try to keep up with trends as age appropriately as I can. Honestly grateful to Gen Z for ushering in jeans that will still fit even if you’re having a fat day, instead of skinny jeans that can sometimes make you feel like anything but.
Styles have changed since I was hardcore into Speed Shortss & CRBs. So I had to dabble. For research purposes. For a blog that’s basically dead. And dopamine. Fuck yeah, dopamine.
Focuser Scoop-Neck Bra ($58) in Pink Haze
Comes in both an A/B and C/D cup option. Both comfy and flattering AF. Not all that supportive, but comfort and aesthetics were enough to get me to take home both the Pink Haze and Black.
Shake It Out High-Rise Running Short 2.5″ ($68) in Magenta Smoke
Flowy run shorts are all the rage, and I can’t argue with how comfortable they are. The rise is high, the lining (briefs) aren’t too tight. Worth noting, you’re going to feel a breeze. Because they flare out almost like a skirt, they’re best for staying upright. Bending over might be giving someone in the vicinity a free show.
Maybe not the most functional for someone who experiences chub rub, but I can’t deny how cute they made me feel. So of course, I bought them too.
All It Takes Back-Twist Ribbed Tank Top ($58) in Light Ivory
Winter’s come to a close and it’s about damn time to start weaving in a non-black option into my wardrobe. This is the same fabric as the LS I snapped up in 2022 (See: Fit Review & Photos: lululemon All It Takes Ribbed Nulu Long Sleeve Shirt), and a cut that’s similar to Athleta’s Renew Seamless Muscle Tank, which I’ve worn constantly in the last year+.
This plus denim (Good American & Veronica Beard are my go to brands, lately) and boom… outfit.
