Manchester United have confirmed their 2024/25 Premier League squad list, with new signing Sekou Kone as one of the surprise inclusions.
United brought in Kone in the summer from Guidars FC.
It’s understood that the Red Devils fended off competition from multiple other clubs to land the highly-rated Mali youth international.
Kone drew attention to himself after impressing at last year’s under-17s FIFA World Cup which saw Mali beat Argentina to claim a third-place finish in the tournament.
The midfielder started his career with the JMG academy in Bamako, Mail, following in the footsteps of Tottenham Hotspur star Yves Bissouma.
A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the young midfielder will be fast-tracked into the United first team and now, the club have named him in their Premier League squad.
Kone is set to start in the Under-18s, but given his immense potential and exceptional talent, there is a plan for him to advance to the senior level if he performs well.
