My Final Play with Inter Miami!

Messi Opens Up on Retirement Fears at Inter Miami

Just yesterday, Lionel Messi shared some heartfelt insights about his career and the inevitable thought of hanging up his boots. The legendary Argentine striker, now with Inter Miami, believes this will be his final stop before he retires from club football. During a chat on SportsCenter, he said, “Yes, right now, I believe Inter Miami will be my final club.”

It’s clear the idea of stepping away from the game stirs up a mix of emotions. “All my life, I’ve played football; the thought of it ending is always lurking around,” Messi confessed. He talked about how moving to the U.S. and winning the World Cup reshaped his outlook. “It’s tough thinking about the end, but I’ve learned to enjoy the moments more because I know they won’t last forever,” he added.

Messi also highlighted the joy he finds in the camaraderie at the club and with the national team, cherishing “the small details” that he’ll miss once he’s no longer playing.

Although he hesitated briefly when pressed if Inter Miami would indeed be his last club, he affirmed, “Yes, I think so. Right now, it will be my last club.”

While fans might start feeling jittery over his remarks, Messi is currently zeroing in on the Copa América with Argentina, aiming to defend their title. The tournament kicks off on June 20 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where Argentina will face Canada.
