Manchester United have entered the transfer race for Stade Rennes starlet Desire Doue, who is also on Arsenal’s radar.

He made 43 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and supplying six assists in the 2023/24 campaign.
The France Under-23 international’s meteoric rise in Rennes’ colours in the last 12 months have alerted clubs from the Premier League and Europe. Manchester United have reportedly joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in enquiring about Desire Doue. Clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have also asked Rennes about the teenage sensation’s availability as competition for the player heats up ahead of the summer transfer window.

Desire Doue is highly coveted heading into the summer transfer window, with Rennes expected to demand over £35million with substantial add-ons should they agree to sell him. Doue is under contract with Rennes until 2026, so the Ligue 1 club are well-placed to secure a sizeable fee for the youngster this summer amid heavy interest from top European outfits.
The Frenchman, while still improving, is regarded as a player with a huge ceiling, and Rennes would want a bidding war to erupt among the clubs. The Red and Blacks had hoped to keep the teenager for one more season, but their failure to qualify for Europe means they will almost certainly cash in.
