Manchester City Injury Update – Massive Erling Haaland Setback & Phil Foden’s Status Made Clear By Pep Guardiola Before Brighton Game

Manchester City’s resolve will be tested this week as the reigning Premier League champions travel to Falmer Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side will be in action against Brighton and will look to claim their top spot after Arsenal bounced back on top after thrashing Chelsea. The defending Premier League champions cannot take anything for granted this deep in the competition and would love to secure all three points against Brighton. However, things won’t be easy for the team without their top goal scorer!

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola addressed the media ahead of the clash against the Seagulls. The Spaniard seemed to be making a great move as he confirmed Phil Foden and John Stones’s availability for the game, with fans uncertain about the duo. Foden was absent from the training last night, raising questions about his involvement. While the English duo may be fit for the clash, Pep had some concerning news regarding Erling Haaland.

Pep Guardiola confirmed the Norwegian won’t be making the trip to Falmer Stadium after the medical team ruled him out of the clash. While the Manchester City crew does expect him to be back for the upcoming fixture, it would take him at least a week to reach his optimal fitness.
