Liverpool Football Club has revealed its 2024/25 third kit, designed by Nike as part of the ‘Together We Rise’ collection. This new kit, set to be worn in the upcoming English Premier League, Women’s Super League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and UEFA Champions League seasons, celebrates the growing influence of women’s football and pays homage to Liverpool’s rich musical history.
The Liverpool FC 2024/25 third jersey’s most striking feature is a distinct vertical double Swoosh that spans across the jersey, shorts, and socks. This unique design element, inspired by the wing of the Greek goddess Nike, symbolizes speed, movement, power, and motivation. Both the men’s and women’s teams will sport this innovative detail, underscoring the club’s commitment to gender equality in football.
Drawing inspiration from Liverpool’s vibrant punk scene, the new LFC shirt’s design is described as ‘rebellious by design.’ It features a bold pattern that fuses the club’s iconic colors with elements that honor the city’s fearless female punk artists who pioneered a new sound where the River Mersey meets the Irish Sea. The incorporation of Liver bird feathers into the pattern further ties the design to the club’s identity.
The predominantly white Liverpool 24/25 Nike third kit is accented with pure platinum details, while flashes of the club’s traditional red and chrome yellow complete the look. Black shorts and white socks complement the jersey, creating a cohesive and striking ensemble. Nike has also focused on enhancing the kit’s comfort and fit, ensuring optimal performance for players.
On the back of the jersey, a poignant tribute can be found at the nape of the neck. The number 97, encased by eternal flames, serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster. This somber reminder of the club’s history adds depth and meaning to the kit’s overall design.
