The Tartan Army, however, then went on a seven-match winless streak and saw several key players ruled out through various injuries, disrupting their preparations for a second successive European Championship campaign.

Germany vs Scotland team news
Germany have picked a squad without Mats Hummels, Leon Goretzka, Timo Werner, Julian Brandt or Serge Gnabry. Kai Havertz was briefly trialled as a left-back but has more recently been playing up front for his country.
Scotland lost Lyndon Dykes to injury in the build-up to the tournament, while Ben Doak also withdrew from the squad. Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson and Lewis Ferguson were similarly ruled out, with Tommy Conway and Lewis Morgan handed late call-ups.
Captain Andy Robertson and Lawrence Shankland both pulled out of training on Monday, though only as a precaution and manager Steve Clarke has since confirmed that he has a fully-fit squad for the match.
