Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in the ACB League’s El Clásico, but Gabriel Deck suffered an injury midway through the third quarter and did not return to the court.
Head coach Chus Mateo described it as “an ugly injury,” and according to Carlos Sánchez Blas, Deck sustained a significant hamstring muscle tear.
Reports suggest the tear is severe, and Deck is expected to spend several weeks on the sidelines, missing multiple games in both the ACB League and EuroLeague.
Real Madrid‘s primary goal is for Deck to recover in time for the Copa del Rey, scheduled from February 13th to 16th in Gran Canaria.
This season, Deck played all 18 EuroLeague games, averaging 9.6 points and 3.4 rebounds, while in the ACB League, he appeared in 13 matches, averaging 10.8 points and 4.2 rebounds.
