FC Barcelona x Coldplay 2024/25 Nike Kit

Ahead of the highly anticipated football Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid on October 26, 2024, the Catalan LaLiga club has revealed its latest innovation in sports marketing—a collaboration with globally acclaimed pop-rock band Coldplay. 

The special edition FC Barcelona x Coldplay 2024/25 Nike home kit features a unique design, representing a fusion between football and music, and will be worn by both the men’s and women’s teams in upcoming fixtures. The jersey marks a continuation of FC Barcelona’s partnership with Spotify, which has already seen the club incorporate designs from world-renowned artists like Drake and Rosalia.

The latest FC Barcelona 24/25home jersey prominently features a design inspired by Coldplay’s latest album, Moon Music, released on October 4, 2024. As shown in the images, the kit retains the traditional Barcelona colors of red and blue but includes a special logo across the chest that symbolizes the different phases of the moon, paying homage to the theme of Coldplay’s tenth studio album. The lunar imagery is rendered in a bold yellow, standing out against the club’s iconic stripes. This design not only celebrates the band’s new album but also reflects the growing trend of blending entertainment and sports on global stages.

Fans will be able to see the men’s team don the new kit during the Clásico against Real Madrid, while the women’s team will showcase it in their match against Eibar on November 2. The choice of Coldplay as a partner for this jersey release ties into the band’s global influence and their continued relevance in pop culture. Their recent singles “feelslikeimfallinginlove” and “WE PRAY” featuring Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna, and TINI have already made waves, and now their partnership with one of the world’s biggest football clubs is set to expand their footprint further into the world of sport.

The FC Barcelona x Coldplay 024/25 special edition Nike home kit is also being released in two limited editions. The first edition, consisting of 1,899 match-quality units, will feature the standard Coldplay moon phases logo in yellow. The second, even more exclusive edition, will be limited to just 22 units. These rare jerseys will incorporate a fluorescent effect on the logo, adding a visually striking element that pays tribute to Coldplay’s dynamic live performances and use of light effects. These units will also be signed by the starting players of the two matches.
