Arsenal could be handed a blow in the pursuit of Benjamin Sesko next summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Gunners were hot on the trail of the 21-year-old this summer. They were prepared to meet the €65m release clause in his contract.
However, Sesko made the decision to stay with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. He penned a new deal while removing his buy-out option.
The young marksman has had a fine start to the campaign with nine goal contributions and Leipzig may not sell him in the near future.
Sesko is clearly happy with his development at the German outfit, and he is unlikely to push for an exit against the wishes of Leipzig.
Leipzig are also content to keep him for another season and this could be a huge blow for the Gunners, who are his long-term admirers.
Liverpool and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on him, and they are likely to suffer a similar fate in the transfer pursuit.
