Anthony Martial attracting interest from France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia ahead of summer window – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United’s recent FA Cup triumph against fierce rivals Manchester City came against all the odds with not even the most ardent fans believing this was possible.

The Red Devils entered the contest on the back of a dismal eighth-place Premier League finish and were without several key stars for the summit clash yet emerged victorious at Wembley.

Anthony Martial was one player who remained sidelined with the Frenchman’s last outing in red coming in the disastrous 0-3 humbling at the hands of Bournemouth back in December.

The 28-year-old ended up missing 29 games this term with the forward undergoing a groin surgery at the start of the year. The hope was he would recover in time to play some part but that never materialised.

Injury-prone Martial

The former Monaco starlet has since announced his departure from Old Trafford after nine seasons with the club not offering the player a contract extension.

It has been a mixed spell in England for Martial. He started showing promise right from his debut and impressed in patches but his poor injury record and lack of effort meant he never fully managed to fulfill his enormous potential.

Fans kept singing his name from the rafters but his goals count steadily dried up with the France international scoring more than 10 goals in the league only thrice in nine years.

Despite a lacklustre ending to his United career, the Massy-born star remains in demand with a couple of clubs from back home and a Turkish club eyeing a Bosman move this summer as per Sky Sports.

Martial remains in demand

“Lyon, Marseille and Besiktas are among the clubs interested in signing Anthony Martial as he leaves Manchester United,” a report on X (formerly Twitter) stated.

“Clubs in Saudi Arabia, MLS and Mexico also want to offer the free agent a contract.”

The versatile forward is expected to take his time in arriving at a decision regarding his future.

United will be looking at finding a replacement for Martial with Rasmus Hojlund needing more help upfront next season after being overworked this last campaign due to a lack of options at the manager’s disposal.
