Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has said that he is unsure over his future at the club beyond the current month.
The 36-year-old signed for the Red Devils on a short-term deal last summer. He made 30 appearances in all competitions.
Evans performed above expectations and United recently confirmed that discussions are ongoing over a new deal.
When pressed on the same, Evans said that he does not know and he will discuss with the club after the international friendlies.
He said: “I don’t know. It’s still early days. I’ve wanted to just concentrate on these two games and meet up with the lads.”
“Once I go back and everything settles down a bit I’m sure I’ll have more conversations with the club.”
Evans played more than expected in the recent campaign due to a defensive injury crisis. His game time could be less next season.
Despite this, there is a high possibility that he will put pen-to-paper on a short-term contract for the 2024/25 campaign.
