Manchester United have set a huge asking price to offload Alejandro Garnacho during the ongoing transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Argentine is no longer a guaranteed starter under manager Ruben Amorim. He has been a regular off the bench in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
Garnacho does not have the defensive qualities for the wing-back role while he has been unconvincing as an attacking midfielder for the Red Devils.
Napoli are interested in signing him as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is about to join Paris Saint-Germain permanently.
However, United are prepared to price them out of a potential transfer. They want at least €80 million to sanction the sale of their talented graduate.
Antonio Conte has identified the 20-year-old as his preferred target to replace Kvara and it remains to be seen whether Napoli pay the fee.
Garnacho is not pushing for a move away from Old Trafford, but it appears his representative is working behind the scenes with the Serie A side.
