The Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) and PUMA have unveiled a commemorative football kit marking their historic 50-year partnership, which began in 1974. The limited-edition jersey pays homage to one of football’s longest-standing collaborations in international sports, with only 1,974 pieces produced to symbolize the technical sponsorship’s first year.
The Austria x PUMA 50th Anniversary jersey’s design showcases a sophisticated black base adorned with vertical pinstripes incorporating country’s national colors of red and white. Gold accents complement the traditional color scheme, while three-dimensional number graphics add a contemporary element to the commemorative shirt.
Distinctive features include carefully integrated throwback elements throughout the kit, with special labels and lettering appearing on the neck, chest, and hem. These details create a cohesive design that represents the Austrian national team’s identity while commemorating the milestone partnership under the motto “Immer wieder Österreich” (Always Austria).
The Austrian men’s senior national team debuted the 50th Anniversary kit during its UEFA Nations League match against Slovenia on November 17, 2024. The women’s national team followed with their first appearance in the special edition jersey during a crucial UEFA EURO 2025 playoff match against Poland in December 2024, demonstrating the kit’s significance across all levels of Austrian football.
