AS Monaco 100th Anniversary Kappa Kit

AS Monaco Football Club, in collaboration with Kappa France, has released a special edition kit commemorating the club’s 100th anniversary. This limited-edition jersey draws inspiration from the original shirt worn by AS Monaco players in 1924, offering fans and players alike a tangible connection to the club’s rich history.

The AS Monaco 2024/25 centennial jersey features a striking black design, reminiscent of the team’s earliest uniforms. A white polo collar, meticulously recreated to match the 1924 original, adds a touch of elegance and authenticity to the jersey. This careful attention to historical detail underscores the club’s commitment to honoring its roots while looking towards the future.

Central to the jersey’s design is a specially crafted crest, an embroidered reproduction of the emblem worn during AS Monaco’s formative years. The crest prominently displays the letters ‘ASM’ at the top, with red and white lozenges below—a nod to the Grimaldi family coat of arms. This design element holds particular significance, as it served as the inspiration for Princess Grace’s creation of the iconic diagonal pattern that has graced AS Monaco’s home kit since 1960.

The kit incorporates several modern touches that bridge the club’s past and present. The dates ‘1924-2024’ are prominently featured at the bottom of the crest, highlighting a century of AS Monaco’s footballing journey. On the back, just below the collar, sits the official logo for the club’s centenary celebrations. In a unique tribute to the team’s legacy, the player numbers are flocked with the names of legendary players and coaches who have left an indelible mark on AS Monaco’s history.

To showcase this exceptional kit, AS Monaco has produced a video featuring His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, alongside Jean-Luc Ettori—the club’s record appearance holder—and current members of the professional squad. This star-studded presentation underscores the significance of the centennial jersey, not just to the club, but to the Principality as a whole.

Fans will have the opportunity to see the “Rouge & Blanc” sporting this commemorative kit in action during their French Ligue 1 2024/25 season match against Montpellier. As AS Monaco dons this tribute to their heritage, it’s worth noting that elsewhere in the league, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has released its new third kit for the 2024/25 season, which will be featured across various competitions including the French Ligue 1, Première Ligue, domestic cup, and both men’s and women’s UEFA Champions League fixtures.
