The WNBA is back after its post-Olympic break and the odds for league MVP are on the move.
Las Vegas star A’ja Wilson is still the heavy favorite. However, over the last month, her odds have moved to -3000 from -5000.
Currently, she is averaging 27.2 points and 12 rebounds per game.
At BetMGM, Wilson opened as the betting favorite at +175 to win the award. By late May, those odds had shortened to +100.
While A’ja’s odds have shifted drastically, Indiana’s Caitlin Clark’s have also gotten shorter.
The Fever rookie’s MVP futures have moved to +8000 from +9000 over the last month.

A’ja Wilson, Aces: -3000 (bet $10 to win $10.33 total)
Caitlin Clark, Fever: +8000 (bet $10 to win $810 total)
Sabrina Ionescu, Liberty: +8000 (bet $10 to win $810 total)
Breanna Stewart, Liberty: +9000 (bet $10 to win $910 total)
Alyssa Thomas, Sun: +15000 (bet $10 to win $1,510 total)
Can Clark continue her rise? On Friday night, she finished with 29 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.
Despite Wilson being a huge favorite in oddsmakers’ eyes, on a recent episode of “The Herd,” Colin Cowherd explained the impact Caitlin Clark has had so far on the league.
“If you want to see the Caitlin Clark effect, here it is,” he said. “Bad team, small market, and [Indiana is] worth more than the Los Angeles Sparks, the Dallas, Atlanta and Washington teams, and almost equal to a team in Chicago.
“Caitlin Clark, to some degree, is saving the WNBA. It’s an incredibly harsh reality.”
