The 2024 Ivy League baseball tournament schedule takes place from May 17th to May 20th, 2024. The tournament pits the top four teams by record from the regular season in a double-elimination tournament to determine the conference champion. The winner of the tournament earns the Ivy League automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Men’s Baseball Tournament. Penn won the first Ivy League Tournament held in 2023. The 2024 tourney takes place at the home field of the #1 seed.
What Happened before the Ivy League Tournament was Formed?
From 1993 through 2022, there was no Ivy League baseball tournament. Instead, the top two teams from the league would face off in a best-of-three tournament. This was known as the Ivy League Championship series. Starting in 2023, baseball shifted to a four-team tournament. Very similar to basketball’s Ivy Madness except for it being double elimination. The winner earns a bid to the NCAA tournament with an eye to earn a trip to the 2024 College World Series.

If the 2024 Ivy League baseball season ended today, Columbia would be the #1 seed and host of the tournament. Cornell and Princeton are four games back (five to play) in the standings, and Penn is sitting in fourth place (five games back).
