When Does the 2024 College Football Season Get Started?
The first game of the 2024 college football regular season schedule is on August 24th, 2024. Fans get to watch Florida State and Georgia Tech go at it in Dublin, Ireland. The game is being shown on ESPN at 1200 PM Eastern Time. There are a few other games on this day (week 0 of the season), before everyone starts up their seasons over the following week.

Especially with the 2024 Olympics starting up here later in July. Most of the ESPN coverage should be set.
2024 ACC Football Kickoff Schedule
The 2024 ACC Football Kickoff (aka ACC Media Days) starts on Monday, July 22nd, 2024. It runs through July 25th and takes place at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ACC Network delivers live coverage of the event each day. Here’s the day-day schedule for you. Note, this is the first year that we have several newcomers to the league in a bit with the ACC now stretching from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

American Athletic Conference Media Days
The American media days schedule is set to take place July 22nd through July 23rd. They will be held at the Loews Arlington Hotel in Arlington, Texas. ESPN+ is on tap for July 23rd from 9am to 2PM ET. You can check out the complete 2024 American football schedule here too.
Big 12 Media Days
The Big 12 football media days took place on July 9th-10th, 2024 in Las Vegas. They were the first big conference to take part in the 2024 college football media days schedule. Whether you think Coach Prime will take Colorado to the College Football Playoff championship or win less than four games, you can check out the Colorado schedule here.
2024 Big Ten Football Media Days
The Big Ten plans to hold their football media days from July 23rd through the 25th. They will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Live coverage will be delivered by the Big Ten Network and streamed on the FOX Sports App. Here are the days each team is scheduled to appear.

Conference USA Football Kickoff and Media Day 2024
The 2024 Conference USA Football Kickoff and Media day will be on July 23rd, 2024. It’s being held at PGA America in Frisco, Texas. The event is being shown on ESPN+ from 11-3PM ET that day with all of the participants taking part.
2024 MAC Football Media Day
The 2024 Mid-American Conference (MAC) media days are set to take place on Friday, July 19th, 2024. Fans get a treat since they’re at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The coverage is set for ESPN+ from 11-130PM ET that day.
Mountain West Football Media Days
The 2024 Mountain West (or MWC) football media days took place from July 10th-11th, 2024 at the Circa Resort & Casino in Vegas.
2024 SEC Football Media Days
The 2024 SEC football media days schedule runs from July 15th-18th, 2024. They are being held at the Omni Dallas Hotel this year. There is live coverage of the event every day on the SEC Network from 7 am to 7 PM ET. We’ll also see ESPN2 and the SECN with coverage on Wednesday from 8-9 PM. The team appearance schedule:

The Sun Belt football media days are scheduled July 23-24 at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District in New Orleans. ESPN+ is providing live coverage of the event each day from 1030-1PM ET each day. The schedule by day for the teams.

2024-25 College Football Postseason
We have seen a lot of change in the conference alignments and realignments for the 2024-25 college football season. Lots of movement all around. We also get to enjoy the 2024-25 College Football Playoff that is expanded to 12 teams this year. We still get to enjoy the usual postseason NCAA bowls in addition to the playoffs.
